Well. After a week of little to no sleep, my final group project for my introduction to secondary education class is done, so I should have a little more time to catch up on things.
Right now, I have:

| A Child Is Born. |

As of 12:40 pm (est!) today, I am officially a father. My wife and I had a baby girl, who will, naturally, is already a daddy's girl. She weighs in at about 6 and a half pounds, and was born with a light patch of dark hair. She's a cutie.
On another note, I would like to take this opportunity to state that my wife is one HELL of a tough woman. She labored from 11pm last night to 1240pm today, with no medication to speak of, and she's perfectly fine. Never onced asked for any pain relief, either. Our home birth went without any complications whatsoever.
Myself, I owe the fact that I am still awake to Mountain Dew. It's a wonderful thing.

| Quick Update! |

Last night from about.. 1 to 3am in the morning, my wife had 'false labor.' It was the first time during the pregnancy that she had painful contractions, and though they were fairly close in range to one another, each coming between two and four minutes, it wasn't 'quite precise.'
Today one of our midwives (did I mention we are doing a home birth?) came to see how far along my wife was. Right now, she's two centimeters dilated, and the midwife concluded that my wife would probably go into labor soon, maybe tonight, but probably either tomorrow or wednesday.
So.. there you have it. I'll provide updates as I can. Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. |

Well, it did not end up taking as long to sort out things as I thought it would. Being that my wife is due soon, we were planning to go down to one car once she went on maternity leave, I just hadn't planned on getting one of our vehicles banged up. Ah well. My car is done for, but I got out of it with just being sore a couple days, so I can't complain. It could have been a lot worse than it was. My big concern was transportation for the both of us until my wife goes on maternity leave, and I thought the answer was going to buy a junk car until then. As it ends up, my sister in law does not use her car while she is at college, so we are just going to borrow that for a month and a half.
So for as shitty a start as it was (don't get me wrong.. I am PISSED that my sports car is done for.. on the other hand, this is probably the one way my wife could have got me to give it up, heh), it all worked out quite nicely.
Sorry if I worried anyone. I'm going to be more busy with school until the end of next week, but I think I will be able to get back on track with replies and such.. I need a break every now and then.. |

I got in a car accident on my way to work today.. I *think* I am physically alright, but my car is done for..
Worst part of this is that my wife and I have been saving up so she can take a long maternity leave.. and now I'm not sure how that is going to happen..
Anyway.. I am going to take a temporary leave of absence.. for those i am in threads with now I apologize..
